No Resignation/Retirement Impact on Educator Bonuses

Please be advised that staff who inform HCPSS that they are planning to retire or resign at the end of the school year are not disqualified from receiving the second part of the Public Education Commitment Bonus, which is scheduled to be included in the June 24, 2022, paycheck.  

Hiring decisions for the 2022-2023 school year are based on current staffing and projected vacancies. It is critical that HCPSS is aware of any staff intending to leave the school system.  

! Call to Action !  

  • Any staff who intend to resign at the end of the current school year are asked to communicate this as soon as possible. Directions for entering a resignation into Workday are available online.   

  • Any staff who intend to retire at the end of the school year and have not yet begun the process should email HRRetirement@hcpss.org as soon as possible.     

Informing HCPSS of your intent to leave the school system at the end of the school year will have no impact on your receiving the bonus payment.
