Changes to Leave Procedures for COVID-19

The final day for paid administrative leave for staff who need to miss work due to COVID-19 will be this Friday, June 17th. After the 17th, staff who need to miss work due to a COVID-19 isolation or quarantine will need to use accrued sick, personal and/or annual leave. HCPSS will continue to follow guidance from the CDC and the Howard County Health Department regarding the length of isolation and quarantine. Staff who have a job that allows for telework and have assignments/duties that can be completed remotely on the days of isolation or quarantine can telework on those days.

School based staff who test positive and are concerned that they were at a worksite during their contagious period should inform their administrator or school nurse. Non-school based staff should inform their supervisor.
