New Systemic Well-Being Programming
HCPSS staff have access to new systemic well-being programming, made possible through the HCPSS Employee Well-Being Program. These opportunities include:
- Weekly Livestreaming Yoga Class: HCPSS staff can join the livestreaming “Yoga Flow & Restore" class every Wednesday from 6:30-7:30 p.m. using this Zoom link. Classes will be recorded and accessible online using case-sensitive password – BlueBirdforHCPSS – so staff can access them any time - whether individually or in a group setting. Save the date for January 2026 classes on Jan. 7, 14, 21 and 28.
- Nervous System Regulation On-Demand Videos: Each month, new videos will be added to a library of resources to provide staff with self-regulation practices to use during the workday and evening wind-down practices. January videos are available now.
FY27 Operating Budget
HCPSS Superintendent Barnes will present his proposed FY27 operating budget during a virtual presentation to the Board of Education on Jan. 8 at 4 p.m.
Get to Know Shaun Powell
In his role as Manager of Custodial Services, Shaun Powell is charged with optimizing operational efficiencies to help support the valued work of the over 400 custodial staff members who serve our schools and offices.
Daily Health Checks
As the winter season continues, HCPSS schools and offices often experience an increase in the spread of the flu, colds, COVID-19 and other communicable diseases.
All staff should conduct daily health checks prior to entering any HCPSS building and/or school bus, and are reminded to stay home if they are experiencing symptom(s) associated with any communicable disease.
Infection control prevents or stops the spread of infections, and may include standard precaution methods. More information about HCPSS protocols, how these conditions are managed at school, and how they can be handled at home, is available on the HCPSS website.
